IndiGo is a private low cost airline based in Haryana, India that aims to provide its passengers with a smooth and seamless experience in air travel in an affordable and gimmick-free manner without waste of time and other hassles.
Operating with brand new Airbus A320 aircraft, Indigo prides itself in being a ticket-less airline, and instead offers its guests a printed itinerary and PNR straight from its online booking facility at goindigo.in.
There are no open bookings at IndiGo and each eTicket is non-transferrable. Aside from the online booking facility on its website, the budget carrier allows passengers to book their flights via GPRS-enabled mobile devices by logging on to mobile.goindigo.in.
Barring that, passengers may make their flights reservations by contacting the 24-hour IndiGo Call Center at (0) 99 19 38 38 38, or toll free at 1800 180 38. Tickets are also available at IndiGo airport counters and authorized travel agencies.
While passengers can pay for their airfare through credit card or via Internet banking using the online booking method, IndiGo has an option for a “hold and pay” booking facility for travelers without credit cards. Guests can contact the airline’s Call Center or its GPRS mobile booking device to make ticket reservations that will be put on hold for 24 hours. Within that period, the buyer will need to confirm the booking through cash payment at any of the carrier’s “hold and pay” agents, IndiGo airport counters, and authorized travel agencies. A transaction fee of 6% of the base fare will be charged for this type of booking medium.
Passengers are encouraged to check-in at least 2 hours before their scheduled time of departure as airport check-in counters close 45 minutes before their flight.
