Jet Konnect Airline Information
Jet Konnect is a new brand in low cost airlines owned by Jet Airways, India’s largest full-service airline. Jet Konnect was launched in May 2009, and recently merged with JetLite, a wholly owned Jet Airways subsidiary, after both carriers were consolidated by its mother airline in March 2012 for rebranding purposes and to close down low-demand loss-inducing routes.
Founded by Tailwinds Limited Chairman and Jet Airways majority shareholder, Naresh Goyal, Jet Konnect enables passengers to enjoy the perks of a full service airline, such as Jet Airways, but for lower priced airfare. Initially, providing affordable connectivity to India’s southern towns, the budget airline aims to “empower every Indian to fly.”
