Varanasi Airport VNS

Since October 2005, the name of this airport has been changed to Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport. Varanasi Airport is a public airport located at a distance of 18 km northwest of Varanasi (Banaras). Spread over an area of 582.5 acres, this airport is an international airport and currently operates flights to domestic as well as international destinations.

Operating Airlines

The 2,206 metre long runway airport has two terminals; international and domestic. The international airlines and their destinations are as follows:

1. Indian Airlines: Kathmandu

2. Jet Airways: Bangkok

3. Mihin Lanka: Colombo

4. Thai Airways: Bangkok

The domestic airlines and their destinations are as follows:

1. Indian Airlines: Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai

3. Kingfisher Airlines: Delhi, Mumbai

4. SpiceJet: Delhi, Mumbai

There are many facilities available at the terminal of the airport such as: TR Stall, tourist information offices, tea/coffee bar, snack bars, juice counters, PCO/STD, ISD, washrooms, drinking water, free-baggage trolleys, hotel pickups, medical aid services, telephone security holding area, complimentary assistance to physically and mentally challenged individuals.
