Goa Airport

Goa International Airport is situated at a distance of four kilometers from “Vasco de Gama” to northwest and five km from Dabolim to east. The capital Panaji is located at the distance of around nineteen miles towards north direction. You can reach at Vasco de Gama by moving to west on State Highway which is not so far from Goa Airport. If you want to get to Panaji or Panjim, you need to move on National Highway (17 A), follow 17 A east road and then head north on 17 motorway to Panaji.

Primarily, two terminals are located at Goa international airport as international terminal and domestic terminal both of which are instituted in same building.

Transport means at Airport

Car parking facilities at Goa Airport are somewhat limited. It has around 114 parking rooms for car vehicles and around 6 for coaches. This entire parking space is situated nearby the building of terminal. However, car hiring services can not be found right at this airport. Pre paid taxis hiring facilities is made available at airport for the convenience of both local as well as international passengers. There is a separate counter for prepaid taxi service out of the building of terminal. However, there are also some local buses that can take you to your destination at affordable rates. If you are interested to visit the city by train, then the railway station of Vasco da Gama is also located nearby.

Major facilities

In both international as well as domestic terminals, there have been established separate information desk from where you can inquire about your flights.  Postal services, money exchange booths, telephone services and bank are made available in the building along with a fine restaurant. Some other shopping facilities provided by the authorities of the airport are duty free shops vending perfumes, toiletries, cigarettes, liquor, watches, electronic items and distilled water. Moreover, free luggage trolleys are also available for travelers. Some other facilities are first aid medical and baby changing services.

The various flights operating from the airport are Air Deccan, Air Sahara, jet Airways, Air India and Indian Airlines.  There are also some charter flights at Goa Airport which are operated by certain tour operators.
