Dubbed as the second largest market share holder in the country’s domestic air travel industry, IndiGo also holds the distinction as the fastest growing low cost carrier in the world, and the only Indian airline making a profit as of March 2012.

Passengers flying IndiGo will enjoy the airline’s affordable Economy Class seating consistent on all of its Airbus A320 aircraft. The carrier offers a wide array of buy-on-board snacks, but provides a complimentary bottle of mineral water to all its passengers, and an in-flight magazine, Hello 6E, that includes a catalogue of items passengers can purchase on board their flight.

IndiGo encourages and rewards early ticket reservations with lower fares, as ticket prices typically increase as each flight fills up.

With its GPRS mobile booking application goIndiGo at http://mobile.goindigo.in, guests can take control of their own travel arrangements by browsing through the airline’s travel and pricing schedules, booking their tickets, and paying for the same using their mobile devices.

While IndiGo only allows one piece of check-in luggage per passenger per trip, it offers a 20% discount for guests who upsize their luggage online via the IndiBags promo. On the other hand, passengers who upgrade to IndiGo Plus flights are entitled to a complimentary in-flight meal and a pre-assigned seat.

IndiGo now offers passengers a chance to pay for their airfare in easy monthly installments through HDFC Bank and Citibank credit cards. With every online booking and payment, guests can choose to pay their airfare in 3 to 6 monthly installments, allowing them to book their dream holidays without breaking the bank.

The low cost airline likewise offers several air packages at reduced rates on its website, including Wildlife Packages, and holiday trips to Muscat, Singapore, Bangkok, and Dubai.

For passengers needing visa assistance, IndiGo has introduced its Dubai Visa and Marhaba Visa processing services for travelers flying to Dubai whether on tourist visa or 96-hour visa.
